Kodava Matrimony is built for real Kodava families looking for genuine matrimonial connections. It works only when everyone shows up honestly and treats each other with the respect our community expects. These guidelines apply to every profile, message, photo, and interaction on the platform.
Be real
- Create only one account, in your own name, with your own photos and family details.
- Do not create profiles for someone else without their consent.
- Family members and parents may help operate a member's profile, but the member must be aware and involved.
Be honest
- Represent your age, marital status, education, career, and family accurately.
- Do not use photos of another person, whether stock, celebrity, or friend.
- If your marital status changes, update your profile within a reasonable time.
Be respectful
- No harassment, casteist slurs, communal remarks, or abusive language.
- No unsolicited or explicit content of any kind.
- If someone declines your interest or stops responding, do not create another profile to reach them again.
- Involve your family in your conversations at whatever pace feels right. Kodava Matrimony is designed for family-first introductions.
Keep it about matrimony
- Do not use Kodava Matrimony to sell products, promote services, ask for donations, or recruit people to another platform.
- Do not ask for or send money outside of the membership payment flow.
- Do not share contact details in profile fields; wait until a private conversation is open, and then share only with people you trust.
What we do about violations
- Members may block or report any profile from that member's detail page.
- Reports are reviewed by our team. First violations usually receive a private warning. Repeated or serious violations lead to temporary suspension or permanent removal without refund.
- We may cooperate with law enforcement in cases involving safety, fraud, or offences under Indian law.
Reporting
Any profile can be reported from the profile page. Any conversation can be blocked from the profile page. In both cases the other side is not notified. For safety concerns that need immediate attention, contact our grievance officer through the Contact page.
